It bugs me when people say that my wife and I only show our love for each other because we are newlyweds

Like I’m sorry you are not happy in your relationship but we love each other so we will show it always

People use newlyweds as an excuse for why they’re relationship is failing

If you put time into your relationship then it will grow! Don’t blame it failing on being with someone for too long

Being married for awhile creates a new norm with people. If you look at what it was like before meeting your wife, often, you can create the honeymoon over and over.

We've been together 12 years and are not as publicly affectionate as we were initially, but that fire still burns. We also don't use as many pet names as we used to. Now instead of using babe, baby, honey, sexy etc...we just call each other mommy or daddy *that happens with kids*.

I agree that fire still burns. The tendency to be affectionate in public dies down just a little, but boy let me tell you I’m still madly in love with my hubby! I didn’t use all of those pet names, I don’t like saying daddy but my hubby still calls me honey sweaty and I can’t stand ma. To me he is always BAE(I purposely yell that out loud 😂). Now it’s true some people are miserable and unhappy but not us!
