Today I visited a local art museum—the Seattle Art Museum—and spent time there attempting to find something in the objects which gave away their presence as material things. I looked carefully at brush strokes, their shape and texture on different canvases, and acquainted myself with the painting here: Psyche Abandoned by Cupid by Nicolas Colombel.
