Topic: An early Christmas for Matt & I 🎄 🎁 ❄⛄
For Matt & I, Christmas is tomorrow. We won't be meeting up again until the middle of January and he's coming up tomorrow to see me for the weekend.
I finished decorating my room for the Holidays and went out by myself (first time traveling out alone in Toronto since I got here for University) and went shopping. I got all my family's gifts bought so I'm some spending money on that.
Here's my room all decorated:
Stockings, my mum sewed them. Mine is the one on my right, Matt's is on the left all filled up.
This little Santa is all set up near my windowsill.
I've got three decorations along the top of my wall tapestry.
There's Matt's gifts (wrapped in the bags from my shopping for my parents) I don't have any wrapping paper but no point wasting it anyways.
Next, my shopping haul:
Here's all the fun little things I picked out for Matt. We each got each other 4 smaller things. Just fun stuff to exchange. The dove decorations are replicas from Home Alone 2's, they symbolise friendship over distance. I'm going to keep one and he'll take one home for his tree. That's why I got the Home alone card as well.
For stocking stuffers we've got some fun Hot chocolates.
I also picked us up some cake for tomorrow, we're gonna have ourselves a Merry little Christmas. 😊
I got my mother this cream she asked for, plus a really soft blanket scarf, and some comfy socks for when she curls up in bed to watch Netflix with the doggo.
I got my grandma some tea and a really nice card, she secretly judges us based on card quality. I give the best cards, my cousins cheap out. I love my grandma. 😂
I got my Beppe and Pakke (Grandma & Grandpa, my Pakke is Dutch) this decoration and card from Me to We, they are a charitable company that do a lot for people and my Beppe & Pakke buy charitable donations in our names through World Vision so I got them this in exchange. One provides Food to people, the other supports their small businesses.
For my brother I bought this Minecraft Red Stone usb wall port charger, and this little Diamond thing (you can mine it and find 1 of 6 types of gems) He likes stones and geology so he'll like it. Plus he says he wants Lego but idk which so I told him I'll give him $50 towards one when I'm back in my hometown for the holidays.
This one thing I got Matt because he's been having a lot of fun with his Rubics cube lately and I know he likes puzzles and stuff. I'm a little worried he will struggle with it because he's colour blind and i know some colours seem the same to him which might make this difficult. 😅 Soo we shall see.
Sorry that's sideways but that's how it works if you're interested.
Anyways, what Holiday do you celebrate this time of year? Any plans for things you're gonna do? 😊
