To all my fellow car guys out there -- I'm a BMW fan and looking to buy one. What should I go with? A new M3 or a used m5? I've never had a new car before but the m5 is one of my all time favorite cars. I could use some help.

I wouldn't trust a used M5. I assume that someone who drives such a car wouldn't be to careful when driving. On the other hand, a new M3 costs a lot of money. And it loses about one third of its value as soon as you ride the first mile. But they are both absolutely adorable cars. The M3 (isn't it named M4 now?) even more than the M5.

Well I would certainly do my research before making the purchase. A 2015 m5 with about 15000 miles and a new m3 come out to about the same price. The m3 is the 4 door and the m4 is the 2 door. Same car though.

the bangle designed V10 M5 was an amazing car, despite costly maintainance. if that"s not your option i"d say rather go back to the roots of light and agile M cars with the M2

I've heard amazing things about the quickness of the m2, but I really need a 4 door. That's why it's between the other 2. Having a v10 would sound amazing and I like the naturally aspirated aspect, but I feel like the v10 part would lose its luster quickly for me. Plus I want something relatively new.
