Somebody’s brain is going to explode trying to figure this one out.. 😂
Jesus The DjAuthor
Well some Americans might yell at me now but it is worth it😂
Josh
Not yelling, but there will always be sticks, even if you clean the playground up, they will just get them from the forest.....
Jesus The DjAuthor
But it does make it a lot harder for the children to get the sticks, and therefore the number of stick related incidents will fall

Josh
Jesus The Dj, just like the sticks in chicago? That's a great idea!!

Jesus The DjAuthor
Josh, yes but they get the sticks from other parts of the country. I am talking a nation wide ban

In this scenario, option C might involve removing all the trees in a couple mile radius.. Maybe you teach the kid why its not ok to attack people
Josh
Divergent, that way the only people who have sticks are the people who take them away.....i've heard tell that turned out awesome in cambodia, germany, and a few other places. Turns out they had a decline in population shortly thereafter! And an increase in prison population!!! Now that I think about it , sign me up!!!!

Josh, well ww2 was a long time ago and it has turned out well. Look at Germany today for example or France or the UK or.... the point is that there are more positive examples of countries with a ban on guns than there are negative. Is it the American way to always prepare for a civil war?
Josh
Jesus The Dj, actually it's in our constitution...
Jesus The DjAuthor
Josh, to prepare for civil war?
Josh
2nd amendment......it is placed there to reinforce the right we have to protect ourselves.....whether it be a lunatic down the street, or unbearable government tyranny.....so yes
Jesus The DjAuthor
Josh, i also have the right to defend myself. It just doesn’t require firearms. Don’t the police in the US protect its citizens?
Josh
Jesus The Dj, yes, but they are far from perfect. I respect them for the job they do. But not every single officer is a saint, or whole departmentsfor that matter. If someone is intent on harming my loved ones or myself, I'm not going to wait the 30 minutes it takes for them to reach my home. My family could be DEAD by then.....or worse. I will not let that happen. I will use the most efficient means available to END the threat to their safety.
Josh
Josh, and just because there are no firearms due to a ban (Because I'm a law abiding citizen), doesn't mean that a criminal won't have one.
Jesus The DjAuthor
Josh, I would do the same. I fight people two times a week to practice for that kind of situation. I would stop at nothing to keep my family safe. I just think that the current gun system in the US needs a change. You need to do background checks on the people buying them.
Josh
Josh, they are criminals after all why would they follow a gun ban?
Josh
Jesus The Dj, we have background checks. It can take weeks sometimes to actually have possession of the firearm after the purchase
Jesus The DjAuthor
Josh, well in my country people can get up to two years prison time for owning an unlicensed gun. This doesn’t stop the really hard criminals from using one, but it does decrease the likelihood of a gun related assault on an average citizen.
Josh
Jesus The Dj, I truly feel that our culture has deteriorated in the past fifty years or so. You use to be able to purchase directly from a dept store catalog, and no craziness like we see today. I don't have the answers to that problem. Moral decay combined with terrible parenting maybe?
Josh
Jesus The Dj, I'm all for the harshest punishment for felonies involving firearms..... I do think that is a deterrent, but to said yourself the hardest find a way to commit crimes with firearms......i mean "sticks," excuse me ;p

Josh, well let’s just agree to disagree. We both want safety we just have different ways of pursuing that goal

Josh
Jesus The Dj, I agree! Good discussion with no name calling lunacy. Wish all of us could be like that.

@beatitudes8, oh it’s no problem. They’re both small countries with a similar culture

Someone's used this to build a premise for debating gun regulation?
