H2 use the imperative form in a relationship

My wife sometimes feels she needs to suggest i was doing something (differently, right now, never again, in her special way,…).

Whenever one of the verbs she is using appears in imperative form, I‘m saved!

If I feel like, I can fend off her proposal just by taking issue in her „handing out orders“ etc.

We usually end up both laughing very hard 🤣

Is there room for the use of the IMPERATIVE form between you and your significant other?

How do you handle such situations?

You are a brilliant cook, aren’t you? Or is it your rhetorical skills? 🤔
