I hate super flat pillows but they shouldnt be huge. Some pillows gave me neck problems so I got one that is said to be very good by mum and since then everything is fine :). I have it for 2 years now I think. Its one of these pillows that arent super soft and change the form for your neck, you know?
Its made of some kind of plastic obviously. I also had pillows with feathers but that is overrated lol.
I like my pillows a little bigger.
And I can tell you that I love to hug my pillow in the summer so my legs and so on dont stick together and my pillows cools me down.
I hate those hotel pillows that look like they're triple thick, but they're so soft that when you put your head on it, it's paper thin! You fold it in half and your head is 90 degrees from your body! You can't win!
At the apartment there are two pillows with feathers and down, for side sleepers. Also a body pillow. At the house another side sleeper pillow. One in the closet waiting to take a trip but that's polyfill. Nothing is over a year old except the body pillow
Ok confession? I have 4 full size pillows on my bed ( two soft, one medium hardness, and one dense hard heavy pillow that is my current 'huggy pillow' and 2-3 small pillows of different textures and materials. I'm in the process of trying to figure out how to make myself a large (maybe quilted) fish shaped pillow.
I wash and dry the pillows once a month, and I want to buy new ones because the ones i have are well taken care of but about 2 or 3 years old.
I can sleep well without pillows too but I like having one to hug at least .
As a kid when my siblings would go to sleep overs or church camp I would steal their pillows and make my bed into a nest of pillows and blankets.
I love pillows
Escape, yesss , I think I mostly love them because I like being supported without the feeling of another human touching me, and because I am calmed by feeling different textures and as a kid my favorite "huggy pillow" would always be the one with the most different texture from whatever blankets I was using
I have no strong relationship with my pillow. At the end of the day, I wake up with my head flat on the mattress, the pillow forgotten somewhere on the floor. I find it uncomfortable sleeping with my head on the pillow... I simply go to sleep like that to look normal to others 👀
I had no pillow and no bed at all when I moved in my new appartment. Actually no furniture at all. My roommate gave me a small couch pillow. I got terrible headache after aü while. So I bought a fancy memory foam pillow. Expensive but worth it.
I have a contoured memory foam pillow. It's far from perfect, but I really like the neck support. I don't like my head being up high, but it's really nice to let my neck arch get some rest. Also it's 2 sides (top and bottom) where the other side has a taller support. Sometimes I want my head a bit higher. The other side is flat. I use that side when I sit up in bed.
I've had it many years, but I'm still looking for a better one.
I started using contoured neck support pillows in my 20s. Then I had a period of chronic headaches when any contact of the back of my head with the pillow was painful. (Inflamed scalp nerves.) I cut my pillow in half horizontally, so it could support my neck without touching my head.
I use the hardest foam I can get. I order them from a place in Calgary, and I still cut them in half. I must have been through dozens of them. I take the current one with me when I travel; no way will I sleep on anything else.
