I finished reading Rich Dad Poor Dad yesterday and it was a game changing for financial literacy. Now I'm moving on to Gary Vaynerchuk's "Crushing It!" Have you read either? What books do you recommend? Also expect a book review soon!
Rich dad poor dad would have been my first recommendation too also Gary V.
But the most influential book in this space is Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, great book all around.
You can also check out Zig Zigler and Jim Rohn on Youtube they both have some great advice...
I loved that book. Very enlightening. It's not a "how to" or get rich quick, it's a way to change your thinking and see how riches are made. Interestingly the author went bankrupt, but that doesn't mean poor, it's just a court filing. I'm sure he knows how to bounce back.
So much truth and reality in there
It made me who I am today., I am the oldest guy here. I am not rich. 90.000.000.000 is rich but I am free and have been since I was 42. I have an on going income from two businesses. Being a millionaire today is no big thing
Peter, 👏 congratulations. Interestingly, nobody thinks they're rich. There's always someone richer. But to the average person you might be rich.
I think rich is having some close friends, and a loving family. Wealth is good to have, but it only eliminates one problem.
I'm glad you've found the liberty and independence that comes with working hard and building wealth. I hope to join that club eventually.
Chrisp, actually that's not correct. Corporate bankruptcy is usually a simple restructuring of your debt. It can be an issue of poor planning, or market changes. Toys R us was poor planning, Sears was market changes. Every auto company has faced it. Many companies emerge stronger, and all debts get paid.
Personal bankruptcy usually forgives debt. THAT is running out of other people's money....
Read rich dad and it was good. Then I saw a fb ad of a class he was holding locally. He wasn't there. Just a people who said they know him. That bait and switch sort of left a bad taste in my mouth with that guy. The irresistible offer is good too
