There are two key differences here.
One is that a series of photos is more like an invitation than a directive. All those things pointing to Steemit or whatever are just demands, with very little offer of engagement. Conversely, the photos are for immediate enjoyment, requiring no extra effort.
A photo series is also better than a lone image, particularly if there's no text. They form a narrative, even it's a simple as a walk through town. There was a very well received series of night walk photos a year or so back. Just that simple. Definitely more in the social spirit of Sola.
Scott Cunningham, even the app calls such people “readers”
It may be just semantics, but this community has had a culture from long before your arrival. In fact, it’s main appeal to most of us old timers was the lack of followers. Even prioritizing a certain person is no guarantee that you will ever see their cards. Just thought you might want some insight into how your wording may be received here.
Windy, sure, but getting worried about terminology isn't really in the spirit of being social in general. This is a completely harmless and positive post 😊 I'd assume with 400k votes in the past month that people are generally okay with what I've posted and the terms I use. Cheers 🙌
