For the (Swiss-) German speakers here on Sola. Merry Xmas! (And to everybody else too - but you might not fully understand what this is all about 😌 )
To the folks in Bogor - Indonesia.
I‘m quite sure I am not the first to discover this somewhat ironic combination. I could not resist posting it nevertheless. My find in some random kitsch store in the US:
Some time ago while in Rome. Battery low on the camera. Used the phone instead of one of the most remakable but less visited buildings of the eternal city. Il Palazzo della Civilita is a master piece in my eyes - despite it‘s somewhat deputable reputation
I usually am not interested in taking pictures of sites which are ‚uber-photographed‘. Recently while visiting friends in Venice I allowed an exception from this rule. ➡️
Italian highways do have a very distinctive look and feel to me. We went there to meet dear friends who were visiting from overseas. ➡️
From the tremendous success series ‚For Snowglimmer‘ the episode ‚A Card for Eternity‘ delivered directly to your screens. ➡️
Nicht mehr neu & nicht von mir. Dennoch: Wichtige Information!

😄 Aber weisst Du was? Fuck it - wen interessiert‘s?

I recorded this (crappy) little video at a nearby town fair. The ride on display used to be among the most popular already 3 decades ago. Even back then, many other attractions were bigger, brighter, higher and for sure faster and more thrilling. But none of these opfere the joyful unpredictable fun of the ‚Heirassa‘ ride. Not to mention the blissful opportunities ‚to get im touch‘ & the stage it offered to the bigmouths from school and the satisfaction when they were exposed by the operator, who decided on ‚to be or not to be‘. When I came along this ride last summer, many many memories kicked in. And while looking at all the youngsters enjoying themselves, it felt appropriate to say:
A shot I took in 2017. I‘m quite happy about it. (The credits go to the wall artist of course.)
Aus der Erfolgsserie: Dinge, die die Welt retten werden.
Super was yesterday.
31st December saw way above seasonal average temperatures here. In order to catch my train to meet friends in the backcountry for new year’s celebrations, I walked to a station located bit further away, to enjoy this glimpse of spring. This basically made me stroll along my jogging route near the city limits. ➡️
Had to go to NYC recently for work. Before returning back home, I enjoyed a day off there. I did not take a lot of pictures. But out of the few I took, I happen to like this one ➡️
Empty spaces. A fascination I cannot resist.➡️
Now - Is this a good or a bad thing in terms of the beer? 🤔🤔🤔
