Topic: December Meetup ❤ Part 2 (Science Center)
On Saturday Matt & I went to the Ontario Science Center, I'm trying to take Matt to see all the main attractions in Toronto bit by bit.
The Science Center has many awesome sections to explore with Hands on activities in a variety of places. Human Biology, Technological Inventions, Earth Science, Space…
We have a tradition of taking a hand holding photo in each meet up so here's our photo for this meet up (above)
There's this sand box we found at the end of the day, it's projected with a map to show the layers topographically as a map and it changes as you move the sand. We had a lot of fun with this.
The coolest thing was watching it shift as if we we're creating a world.
We went to this one room that was full of machines made to seem like ancient views of inventions if the "future". Like computers and Tv's
I loved looking around at the moving machines, they had a very Dr. Seuss sort of feel to them.
The Tornado was my favourite, even when I came as a kid. To get to touch an indoor Tornado is pretty cool.
There were plenty of things to explore.
Here was a machine that converted bubbles to images, you can see the image in behind of the photo we took.
Here we could play music on the keyboard or steel drum and the sounds would impact the magnetic liquid in the container.
This next machine converted our heartbeat into an audible sound and lights.
In the video above is Matt & my heartbeats together on the machine. I'm blue, he's Pink on the screen. At one point it seems to sync up as we look at each other which was pretty cool.
Here's the Biology room, discussing things like pregnancy, bones, muscles, injury, genetic inherited skills etc.
I wish I could show you so much more but guess you'll just have to explore it yourself one day.
I will post the link to part 1, and three when its completed.
Have you ever been to a science center?
A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.
