Holiday! But my wife sadly has to work all summer long, so I'm gonna spend some of my days off in the mountains.
Today was the hottest day of the whole year in Bavaria: 36 Celsius. I decided to go uphill to find some alleviation and a fresh breeze.
I climbed Seekarspitze (2053 m) and Seebergspitze (2085 m) above lake Achensee. The 2 mountains are linked by the small ridge you see here.
I really needed to climb on this tour. This video may give you an impression of the steepness and the rugged trail on the ridge.
This is the view from the second peak backwards to the first. Btw, this tour was in Austria, just some km away from the Bavarian border.
I took a comfy Brotzeit break in the sun at the 2nd Gipfelkreuz. This is what I had prepared at home: a Semmel with butter and bacon.
The view was magnificent.
An excursion boat for tourists - 1000 meters under the peak. My car parked next to the pier.
This pic is for MaxMax. Buddhist prayer flags fixed at the Christian Gipfelkreuz.
After hiking 20 km altogether I was finally back in the valley. My tired, aching feet got a nice refreshment in a little stream.
