Education is like a Rubik's cube, at school, university or other government programs they teach you only 1 or a couple ways to be where you want to go in life. This is arguably the equivalent of learning the basic method of a rubik's cube, it takes longer to solve and you need to memorise all of the algorithms to get there. Usually after you learn the basic method you learn the more advanced efficient method which takes less moves, is more intuitive, makes sense and ultimately faster. There are over 43 quintillion ways to solve a rubik's cube but we are only taught a few methods of success that don't suit most of us for what we individually want to accomplish.
